Heidi Klum frequently opts for interesting updos when attending red carpet events and this variation on a French twist is certainly one of them. Instead of sweeping all of her hair into a smooth vertical twist, her tresses have be drawn back, twisted in segments and wrapped into small buns.
Below are step-by-step instructions for recreating Heidi's cool 'do along with a video found on youtube showing how to style a classic French twist.
1. Take a two inch swath of hair from along the back hairline and draw it into a ponytail. Twist this section, wrap it around its base to create a small bun and secure it with bobby pins for u-shaped hair pines.
2. Take a similarly sized swath from directly above the bun and repeat the first step.
3. Continue to work up the back of the head, drawing back two-inch sections and creating small buns.
4. For the topmost section, pull all the hair on the top of the head, along with bangs, back into the bun.
5. Finish the look with hairspray.
